It's bizarre how pro play is a totally different LOL from soloQ

Main Post:

From all these years playing lol, at all elos I have played (bronze - diamond) I have never seen once (that I remember) lane swap between toplane and botlane (at early game of course), also it's bizarre how some champions are perma picks in proplay meanwhile I never see them in my games (rell and azir for example).

Top Comment: Play the game long enough in all its ranked/competitive modes (including Flex and Clash) and you'll have seen everything at least once. Pro Play which is 10 players at the highest skill level playing to keep their jobs. Safety and reliability end being the most defining parts of the meta. SoloQ is two teams of randoms where the least dysfonctional team wins or the players with the weakest mental lose. Flex 5-man premades and Clash could apply some pro play strategies but at most ranks they either lack the skill to execute it or don't understand the reasons why pro teams do it. My favourite anecdote from a Rioter was when they mentioned team adjustments in Flex for 5-man premades. If they couldn't get matched against another 5-man would get matched against higher MMR players to balance out their higher coordination. Except for Bronze Flex 5-man players, they were impacting each other negatively that for a time they had a negative MMR offset to balance out their organized stupidity.

Has there been league pro players who quit league pro scene and became pros in another game?

Main Post:

I know the opposite happened where pros from other games like SC2 or Heroes of the Storm became pros in League of Legends

But did the reverse happen? any league pro managed to make it big after league?

Top Comment: Gamsu played top lane for Dignitas then switched over to Overwatch
